Dr. Seuss Birthday Event

Last Saturday around 1 pm, the Unalaska Public Library hosted an event to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday. The celebration commenced with Librarian Karen Kresh playing an audio book version of Green Eggs and Ham while kids in kindergarten through 4^th grade sat with rapt attention.

Following the reading, Carlos Tayag and a few members of the Unalaska Drama Club preformed a theatrical version of The Lorax while Karen Kresh narrated. The event ended with a simple craft and Dr. Seuss themed snacks.

"Thneedless" to say, the event was a success and fun was had by all!

There will be a clip from this event on this week's episode of Flash! Unalaska, Wednesday March 9th starting at 8 pm with the full version of The Lorax to play directly after the episode. You can also view this on March 9th at 10 pm and March 11th, 12th and 13th at both 8 pm and 10 pm.
