An airport drug bust has stopped an influx of heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine from reaching the small community of Sand Point.
Alaska State Troopers arrested Daniele Glodowski, 37, of Anchorage last week, following a joint narcotics investigation with the Sand Point Police Department.
Police Chief Hal Henning said Glodowski was taken into custody at the Anchorage airport before she could leave on a flight to Sand Point.
Troopers seized three grams of heroin, six grams of crack cocaine, and five grams of meth. Overall, Henning said the bust prevented 140 doses of drugs from being sold in Sand Point, where the total street value is estimated at $14,000.
Now out on bail, Glodowski is facing three felony charges for misconduct involving controlled substances.
She’s due in court in Anchorage Nov. 7.
