Two Men Face Drug Charges

Greta Mart

Charges have been filed against Donn Griffin and Jermain Peacock after they were arrested following the sale of drugs to an undercover agent of the Coast Guard Investigative Service.

The Unalaska Police Department and Coast Guard had been conducting an investigation into Griffin’s activities prior to his arrest.

In the last month, Griffin has sold nearly $1,500 worth of drugs, identified as methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin, to an undercover agent.

Police arrested Griffin during a planned deal. He is charged with eight counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Police also arrested Jermain Peacock, who was present in the area during the deal and has admitted his involvement to officers. He says he packaged the drugs that Griffin intended to sell. Peacock is charged with seven counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Griffin's bail is set at $10,000 and he will appear in court again on June 28 in Unalaska.

Peacock's bail is $20,000. His next court appearance is July 1.
