Unalaska Raiders Sweep Dillingham Wolverines

Genee Shaishnikoff

In this weekend's boys' basketball games, the Unalaska Raiders swept the Dillingham Wolverines.

On Friday evening, all graduating athletes were honored before the game. Unalaska's seniors set the tone, leading the team to a 59-23 victory. Ross Enlow paced Unalaska with 13 points. Also in double figures were Bryan Earnshaw, Ben Enlow and Tanner Leggett.

A balanced scoring effort led Unalaska to a 31-point victory on Saturday with seven members of the team chipping in. Trevor Wilson lead the way with 12 points. Dillingham was unable to keep up, falling to the Raiders 54-13.

In Dillingham, the girls’ basketball team played two hard fought games.

On Friday night, Unalaska fell behind early. But in the second half, the girls rallied outscoring the wolverines. That wasn’t enough; the Raiders fell to Dillingham 51-33. Kiara Villamor paced the team with 14 points and Marjimae Pili had seven.

Saturday night, the Raiders struggled with Dillingham’s defensive pressure. Kiara Villamor led the way with 12 of the team's points. Unalaska fell to Dillingham 59-21.

Both teams will continue their seasons next week when they travel to the Kenai Peninsula.
