Police have charged a Nelson Lagoon man for breaking in to the community’s clinic to steal drugs, according to a statement from the Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers arrested Trevor Edwards, 24, after investigating the burglary on April 1.

They also arrested a 14-year-old boy from Nelson Lagoon who acted as an “accomplice.”

Edwards has been jailed in Anchorage on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, attempted misconduct involving a controlled substance, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The Department of Juvenile Justice is considering charges for the 14-year-old, who has been sent to a youth detention facility in Anchorage.
