City Council Seat D: David Gregory

Courtesy

My name is David M Gregory and I am running for re-election to Council Seat CC-D.

I have lived in Unalaska since coming here in 1975 as a senior in High School.   I graduated from Unalaska High School in the spring of 1976 and went off to the University of Alaska in Fairbanks for two years of college.    During the College years I worked for Fish and Game in Unalaska /Dutch Harbor and in Bristol Bay.   After my Sophomore year in College I decided to stay in Unalaska and work for a couple of years.    I landed a job working for the City of Unalaska in the Fire Department.   24 years later I retired from my job as Fire Chief for the City of Unalaska.  I started my second career working for the Ounalashka Corporation as the Lands Manager, where I am currently employed.

During my time living in Unalaska I have served on the School Board, Planning Commission, Holy Ascension Cathedral Restoration Committee and the Fish and Game Advisory Committee.   I also am a member of the Ballyhoo Lions Club and the Russian Orthodox Sacred Sites in Alaska Board of Directors.

I have enjoyed working for the Unalaska / Dutch Harbor Community in my capacity as a Council Member.   I care deeply about my home town and strive to make decisions that are in the best interest of our community.

I have the desire to continue to serve and appreciate the Community’s confidence in me.
