Unalaska has hired a new city clerk.
Marjorie Veeder will take over the clerk’s department on Oct. 16, according to Acting City Manager Erin Reinders.
Veeder has spent the last six years working in the city manager’s office as an administrator.
"Her strong administrative and legal background, in addition to her project management experience, will serve the city well in the clerk’s department," said Reinders in a statement.
Veeder will replace current City Clerk Cat Hazen, who’s moving to the Finance Department as the controller.
