Unalaska Municipal Election 2017: Final Results

City officials have released the final results of Unalaska’s municipal election, after canvassing absentee and questioned ballots.

The official data shows that voters narrowly rejected a proposal to double the local sin tax. It also confirms all preliminary results for the City Council and school board races.

The City Council is expected to certify election results on Tuesday night.

CITY COUNCIL SEAT B

  • Jeffrey Treannie: 177 votes (30.5%)
  • James Fitch: 282 votes (48.6%)
  • Yudelka Leclere: 116 votes (20.0%)
  • Write-ins: 5 (0.9%)

CITY COUNCIL SEAT E

  • John J. Waldron: 226 votes (38.8%)
  • Dennis M. Robinson: 351 votes (60.3%)
  • Write-ins: 5 (0.9%)

CITY COUNCIL SEAT G

  • Rachelle Hatfield: 202 votes (35.2%)
  • Shari Coleman: 366 votes (63.8%)
  • Write-ins: 6 (1.0%)

SCHOOL BOARD SEAT B

  • Cherry Tan: 504 votes (97.7%)
  • Write-ins: 12 (2.3%)

SCHOOL BOARD SEAT E

  • Fernando Barrera: 493 votes (98.0%)
  • Write-ins: 10 (2.0%)

  • Yes: 263 (47.0%)
  • No: 298 (53%)
