Unalaska Municipal Election 2017: Preliminary Results

Voters have ousted all three incumbents on the Unalaska City Council.

Meanwhile, a proposal to raise the local sales tax on alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana will be decided by about 70 absentee and questioned ballots.

We’ll bring you the final results after city official canvass the outstanding ballots on Friday.

  • Jeffrey Treannie: 151 votes
  • James Fitch: 262 votes
  • Yudelka Leclere: 111 votes
  • Write-ins: 5

CITY COUNCIL SEAT E

  • John J. Waldron: 214 votes
  • Dennis M. Robinson: 313 votes
  • Write-ins: 5

CITY COUNCIL SEAT G

  • Rachelle Hatfield: 193 votes
  • Shari Coleman: 320 votes
  • Write-ins: 8

SCHOOL BOARD SEAT B

  • Cherry Tan: 459 votes
  • Write-ins: 11

SCHOOL BOARD SEAT E

  • Fernando Barrera: 448 votes
